Baby Lou, growing big one day at a time.

Went to Sheridan last weekend and got a few photos of Baby Lou. This little young man changed so much since I last saw him on July 4. He can pull himself up, crawl like he is running from a fire, do 'so big', wave bye bye and get into everything. I love ya Baby Lou! Oh, I forgot, he has two teeth too! Right on the bottom gum, he would make a great pumpkin for Halloween.

I am THIS BIG grandma!
Lucas was showing grandma 'so big' on my visit to Sheridan.
Just chillin' waiting to go to church. I love those baby blues!!

This little Lady Bug turned 4!

My youngest granddaughter - little bug that she is, just turned 4. Emma is the most precious little girl and she is so full of fun and life that I just love spending time with her. Aunt Brandi wanted to make her 4th birthday party so special so she bought her this little lady bug costume and then decorated with that theme.

Red, white and black were the colors of the party. Of course it all of us Husker fans really enjoyed that on a 'game day' to boot.

Emma's cousins and her brother helped to celebrate.

Grandma couldn't find a lady bug cake and was short on time so we had one with flowers cuz we all know what lady bugs like.

The plates, cups and table cloth were filled with lady bugs.

Blowing out the candle and making a wish!

And then there were presents!!

And help from the cousins!

Happy Birthday Emma!!

Followers!

I love looking at blogs and more than not end up being a follower as there are so many, many wonderful blogs out there and I don't want to miss a one. I am not the best of bloggers, days go by before I get something posted and more likely than not it is because I took a picture of something that I wanted to share or something about a family member. My followers are few and far between but I treasure all of them and frequently stop by their blog to see what is up in their lives.   I was saddened when  I found that I have lost two followers in the past couple of weeks. Does anyone else pay attention to their followers? Some of the wonderful blogs I follow have thousands of friends checking out their sites and so people should because they are wonderful. But to my very few followers - thanks for sticking with me.

I lost a friend..............

Today I am grieving for the loss of a friend. A wonderful, witty, wise, beautiful friend and I will miss her so much. This lady worked hard, and had just sold her business so she could take some time with her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and family. She had less than one week of 'freedom' from work and she died. I can't tell you how sad I am for her family, friends, for me, one of her YAYA sisters, for her..............she was just beginning her life. Someone sent me this little verse and I thought that maybe Becky's finger (from heaven) hit the send button to remind us to live life as if today were our last day. Please pray for my beautiful friend Becky and for all who touched her life, as the world is a little less more beautiful today with the loss of such a great person.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Try everything twice.

On one woman's tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph: "Tried everything twice. Loved it both times!"

2. Keep only cheerful friends.

The grouches pull you down.

(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning:

Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever...

Never let the brain get idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'

And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud.

Laugh until you gasp for breath.

And if you have a friend who makes you laugh,

spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

6.. The tears happen:

Endure, grieve, and move on.

The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.

LIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love:

Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever..

Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:

If it is good, preserve it.

If it is unstable, improve it.

If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips..

Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county,

to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

I love you, my special friend.

11. Forgive now, those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance..

Remember! Lost time can never be found.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Wine does not make you FAT ...
- it makes you LEAN ....
(Against tables, chairs, floors, walls and ugly people.)
